Russell Edwin Householder, 84, of Junction City, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 5, 2026.
Russell was born on January 4, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Wayne and Sarah (Decot) Householder.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 66 years, Janet Ann (Henery) Householder; daughter, Judy (Larry) Weaver; son, Randy (Cheryl) Householder; grandkids, Tiffany (Steve) Hambel, Katrina (Jeff) McGlothlin, Lisa Householder, Amber (Chuck) Boring, Thomas (Britni) Weaver, Heather (Jeremy) Boring, Blake Weaver, Danielle (Greg) Shafer, Tara (Michael Couch) Householder, Robert (Kylee) Householder; 27 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; 11 great-great grandchildren with two more on the way; and a sister, Norma Jean Kessler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Householder and his son, Robert Wayne Householder.
Russell graduated in 1959 from Somerset High School. He worked several jobs including feed mills in Bremen and Somerset before going into business for himself doing carpentry and working his family farm.
Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 9. Burial will follow in Somerset Cemetery.
