Thomas G. “Tom” Dittoe, 68, of Somerset, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, surrounded by his daughters and favorite nurses. He was the beloved son of the late Ruth and Don Dittoe. Tom graduated from Sheridan High School. He spent his career working in sales at Snider-Flautt Lumber.
Tom was deeply committed to his community. He proudly served for many years as a volunteer firefighter and EMT for Somerset. Later in life, he found his true passion working as an Auxiliary Officer with the Ohio Highway Patrol, a role he cherished greatly.
Tom is survived by his daughters, Stephanie (Greg) Hall and Stacey (Andrew Bennett) Dittoe; his cherished granddaughter, Noelle Hall; his siblings, Jack (Libby) Dittoe, Robert (Cynthia) Dittoe, and Jane (Mike) Leeuw; and his brother-in-law, Steve Park. He is also survived by his best friend, Butch (Carrie) Wilson; a special nurse whom Tom lovingly referred to as his son, Yanatan Wedeslasea; and many nieces and nephews.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents Ruth and Don Dittoe and his beloved sister Anne Park.
His daughters would like to thank Luxe Rehab and Care Center and Heartland Hospice for their compassion care of Tom during his final days.
In accordance with Tom’s wishes, cremation will take place with no funeral services. Memorial donations in Tom’s honor may be made to Somerset Reading EMS, 302 S. Market St., Somerset, Ohio 43783, or the Somerset Fire Department, 112 E. Main St., Somerset, Ohio 43783.
